General Terms of Use
All digital downloads available from DIY Party Designs are for YOUR personal use only. These products are not to be lended, shared, emailed, borrowed, given, exchanged or sold to any other person or association. You may not modify the file and share or sell to others. You may not modify the file and give to others. Only the individual who downloads this file may modify this file.
Purchase Information
All products are shown in Canadian Dollars (CAD) - Canadian residents will be charged 5% GST tax during checkout. During checkout you have the option to pay by credit card or PayPal. If you are an international visitor to our store, you can still use Paypal or your credit card, and your payment will be converted to your currency based on current exchange rates with Paypal.
Refund Policy
Because of the digital nature of our products, no refunds will be provided. Files are only available for download within 2 days of purchase. If you fail to download, or fail to check your download in this 48 hours time, DIY Party Designs will not provide the files or provide any refund. Please take due care to immediately download your files and check the integrity of the files.
Back Up Your Files
Please note that your purchase will be available for 5 download attempts within 24 hours of your purchase. If you fail to download in this time you will be required to purchase another set. Please note that once you have successfully downloaded your files, no files will be provided in the future to you – you are responsible for safe back up of your products. I will not provide replacement files for misplaced files, computer or harddrive loss, computer viruses, etc.
Delivery of Files
No items will be shipped – all are only available for digital download – so please ensure you enter your email address correctly to ensure prompt delivery of the files. If you paid via PayPal, your files may be sent to the primary email address your PayPal account is set to. Please check there first if you do not see your digital download link within 24 hours of your purchase.
When Do I Get My Files?
Generally you’ll receive a download link immediately after completing your purchase. If you choose to pay via Paypal E-check, you will not receive download links until your payment has cleared (which can take between 5-8 business days). Paypal will notify you when your payment clears, and then you can log back into your account to access the links for downloading.
What Do I Need to Make/Assemble These Projects?
Each project will give you basic instructions and supply information on the product information page. Generally, you’ll need: utility knife, metal ruler, scissors, double side tape, glue, appropriate paper and printer. I’ll let you know if there is some items for embellishment you may want to add.
Do I Need to Own a Color Printer?
No. If you do not own an appropriate printer for managing either the designs or quantity you need to print, you can simply upload or take your digital file to your local print/copy shop for them to print out on cardstock or photo paper for you.
What Type of Printer Do I Need?
Although most designs can be printed on a home inkjet printer – a laser printer will lock your colors and ensure there is no smudging if your project becomes moist. If you do not own a laser printer, you can choose to have your project printed at a local copy/print shop.
What Type of Paper Do I Use?
Each project lists the recommended paper that is best suited to the project and should be readily available in your local office supply store. For more information on paper types, read our Paper Tips Guide.
What Do I Use To Open My Files?
Most files are delivered as a compressed file (.zip). Most computers will automatically open the file and un-compress the files simply by double clicking on the file name when you browse your computer. If your file does not open, you may want to try to re-install WinZip (a program which allows you to open zipped files). Once uncompressed, for most files you will need Adobe Reader to open the .pdf files. You can download a free copy of Adobe Reader here.
How can I edit my files?
If you want to add more graphics or text to the files – I suggest using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. These are the two programs I’m familiar with. There may be other programs that work well, just be sure that your program doesn’t resize the files so that your printable size remains accurate.
