Lollipop Wraps are a fun way to dress up a favor bag or a quick treat, including those who are young at heart.
Your DIY Lollipop Wrap can be used in many different ways:
· Personalize with each guests name and use as a placecard at each setting
· Instead of punching a hole, use to wrap a peppermint patty inside (secure to wrapper with double sided tape inside the wrapper
· Make into a bouquet in a large mouth jar or in a soup can painted/decorated
· Place a wrapped sucker into a cupcake as a cupcake topper
· Use to decorate a birthday or party cake
Lollipop Wrap Tutorial
#1. Start by adding any personalization to your file, then print out on 65lb cardstock. Cut out each lollipop wrapper – I prefer to use an exacto knife with metal ruler on a cutting mat. The three lines shown below should be scored (not cut through) using a boning knife or other dull edge.
#2. Fold the top two lines inward, almost creating a matchbook top.
#3. Use a small hole punch to punch out the circle located midline on the bottom line. This will be for the sucker stick to go through.
#4. Now fold up the along the bottom line.
#5. From the back side, place a normal sucker through the hole.
#6. Add some double-sided adhesive tape to the top edge, in between the cut in corners.
#7. Fold bottom flap up, and top flap down to secure the tape. Depending on the size of your sucker, will determine how far down the top flap can come down.
#8. And there you have it – a complete lollipop wrapper!
